Terme Pret Saint Didier

The thermal baths of Pre Saint Didier are a real oasis at the foot of Mont Blanc.

Located in the upper valley of the Dora Baltea, Pret Saint Didier is a town of about 1000 inhabitants, it was called Pré-Saint-Didier-les-Bains during the Kingdom of Sardinia. The spa was built in 1834. The casino, which is now part of the spa complex, was built in 1888.

The plant has recently been renovated and expanded.

The thermal spring gushes out inside a cave, which is located under the scenic “Cascata dell’Orrido”. The waters were already known and frequented since Roman times, and used on a regular basis since 1600. In the 19th century, Pret Saint Didier was the favorite vacation spot of the Italian royal family, the House of Savoy.

The establishment is a real relaxation paradise: from the garden itself you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding valleys and the Mont Blanc chain. In it there are three thermal pools, and saunas created inside wooden huts, with windows that allow you to enjoy the view.

Having recently been refurbished after thirty years of closure, the center is equipped with all the necessary comforts: whirlpools, waterfalls, saunas, flavored steam baths, mud baths, chromotherapy and aromatherapy rooms. It is also possible to treat yourself to special treatments and massages!

Not to be missed in the surroundings

The Verney ravine (in French, Gouffre de Verney): it is a waterfall enclosed by imposing vertical rocky walls, narrow and narrow. It originates from the postglacial engravings made by the Dora di Verney stream, a tributary of the Dora Baltica. A walkway suspended in the void, reachable via a path, was built on the ravine: inaugurated in the spring of 2014, it cost over 400,000 euros.
