Skyway Mont Blanc

Inaugurated in 2015, the Skyway Monte Bianco is one of the greatest engineering and technological works in Italy.

The project is totally innovative, a 360 ° experience of vertical ascent.

Pavillon The Mountain Station

At 2173 meters above sea level, the station offers a breathtaking view of the mountain and unspoiled nature. A large terrace with a 180 ° view of Mont Blanc and Val Veny. Inside, bars, restaurants, a cinema room, a boutique.
Also not to be missed:

– Cave Mont Blanc: an experimental high altitude winery. The Cave Mont Blanc de Morgex et la Salle has been specializing, for the past 10 years, in the production of sparkling wine at high altitudes, producing the Classic Method Extrabrut Cuvée Des Guides.
– Hangar 2173: exhibition itinerary that tells the story of the Mont Blanc cableways.
– Botanical Garden: it is the Alpuno Saussurea Garden, at over 2000 meters above sea level, with a collection of over 900 alpine plants. It is one of the highest-altitude natural gardens in the world. The garden can be visited from June to September.

Helbronner The Sky Station

It is the highest point of the cable car and the third station of the Skyway Monte Bianco, at 3466 meters above sea level.
A beautiful circular terrace with a 360 ° view, the Monte Bianco room, indoor, and the Sky Vertigo, for walking “suspended in the void”.
Not to be missed :

– Crystal Room: exhibition section dedicated to Mont Blanc crystals, a collection of rare pieces such as hyaline, rock, smoky and morion quartz crystals. Admission is free.

History

The works for the construction of the Skyway Monte Bianco began in 2011, the following year the Punta Helbronner station was rebuilt.
Officially opens to the public on May 30, 2015.
The Skyway Monte Bianco starts from 1300 meters in Courmayeur / The Valley and goes up to 2173 meters in Pavillon, from here starts the Trans Mont Blanc that crosses the Mer de Glace glacier and reaches the Aiguille du Midi.
