Valle d’Aosta is a region that hosts, throughout the year, events, manifestations and festivals dedicated to the culture, traditions and history of the Valle d’Aosta area.

Among the main events held in the characteristic region of the Aosta Valley we want to mention the “Battle of the Goats“, a very ancient event that celebrates, with celebrations also provided for by the Regional Statute, the goats, whose breeding represents an important aspect of the local economy, the event takes place over 8 months, from April to November, the battles are in fact organized in different groups at the end of which the best specimen wins and its master, the winner is entitled to a decorated wooden collar, the event is held in the municipality of Donnas.

For food and wine lovers, the “International Competition of Mountain Wines “, in Courmayeur, in the month of July, the best are awarded locally produced wines, and finally the “Fiera di Sant’Orso“, an event held in January, it is an important event, during which craftsmen of the Valle d’Aosta exhibit their works, from woodworking to the textile sector, from the creation of wicker objects to embroidery.
